This is the problem that Bannon set up for him. Flood the zone with so much shit, much of it awful, a lot of it extremely stupid, but all of it damaging to America at some level, and then take the reward of chaos. There are no empty threats.

Trump's deranged threats are never empty. He is cognitively incapable of making an empty threat.

What happens is, as John Bolton and many other aides have explained, he makes a weird deranged threat, and then becomes distracted and forgets he made it.

I hope we have finally understood what we should have known all along: Trump says what he plans to do and then he tries to do it. Every insane statement.
