I love experience gifts & all of these are & can be truly special
The most important thing to remember is to creatively re-“gift” with thoughtfulness to the recipient’s likes & what brings them joy, love or support
These are my favorite kinds of gifts, especially handmade gifts. I'm currently in the process of making my partner's favorite tea from plants I've grown in my garden. Hopefully I can get the hibiscus petals dried in time for Christmas.
Giving hand made, home made, reused, up-cycled gifts is one way of using our own creativity and ingenuity to share very special items with others that have deep impact and can stand the test of time and inform and bless loving and hopeful memories, often creating deeper bonds among us.
IOU's are a gift of time. You can promise a day at the beach or a day watching any movie the person wants. You can give a back massage or breakfast in bed. Giving yourself is a great gift.
That’s what they’re all getting this year except the little kids - and they’re getting books. 📚 No corporate stores. No Amazon. Only local and perhaps Etsy stores in my home state.
Honestly, my favorite gift my mom gave me was a box of things she put together. One of my favorite Xmas movies, mugs, hot coco, candy and a blanket. All things I love even now as an adult.
