Indifferent, only requirement is (focus on) playing to our level and getting results. To each their own, and everyone has the right to do as they wish etc, but find fretting over another team isn’t it

Everton not playing today means they have a ten day rest period by the time they play us next Saturday. We will play 2 games in 7 days before playing them. This is not fair.

Might be a tougher game.
A derby under the lights and last one at Goodison Park might make it a bit trickier.
But with their injuries in defence right now I think it’s easier to score against them right now.

Probably too early to mean anything. But fixture congestion later in season = good. See last years’ collapse.

Also, conceivable that when they play Sp*rs away on the 22nd, Arsenal and/or Chelsea will be 1 point behind. Gives their games in hand more must-win pressure than otherwise IMO.

As long as we keep making up points, I like it. The artificial closing of the gap still takes a mental toll. Also, hopefully Everton gets better by the time they play twice.

I was leaning towards being happy about it but now I'm not so sure. In the end we just need to focus on ourselves and cutting the gap at the top tomorrow and continue our winning run.

12:30 k/o is always a bit drab, so chances are this will now have to be a midweek night game, meaning a more fired up crowd.

Then there's the congestion as you point out, and if we win tomorrow I think it's good psychologically to close the gap, regardless of a game in hand

Not sure we’ll know until the game itself - them missing Konate and Allison and having drawn the last game isn’t ideal for them but perhaps Everton are in full Dyche-ball mode and Liverpool have more injuries in the changed fixture

100% a good thing. We can close the gap with a win and put even more pressure on them. Points on the board always better than games in hand. And as you say, it’ll add more congestion for them. Selfishly also a great consequence…

I think it helps us against Fulham, which is our most difficult remaining fixture of the year. Liverpool not pushing the gap to 10 helps us psychologically for Sunday, and if we close that gap to 4, despite the game in hand, should help us keep our tails up this month.

It should also be noted that Everton’s next game is…yep, us. So 10 days rest for them vs 3 for us (after Monaco).

I think coming off a tough game mid-week, short turnaround to the Everton game, I would have preferred they play. Everton were coming off a good result so I think ideal time.
