It’s hard to understate how little is breaking through outside of DC about Musk’s illegal and dangerous takeover of our systems and the all-out assault on government workers. I think it's less black and white than you suggest. Trump admin doesn't want or need Congress right now, so minority delays in Congress don't matter. Pressuring Congress Dems is fine/good, but we should be pressuring civil society as well. R Congress people must be forced to break w admin by masses

This is true, and also why would they assume that people aren't calling Republicans? Murkowski's reported a huge hike in call volume. But if their idea of a rapid response to a coup of democracy is to send anodyne letters and ape Susan Collins' brow furrow, then of course people are furious.

I would counter with the fact that only 4 of 53, fewer then 10%, of senate republicans would need to actually grow a heart and join with Dems to shutdown Congress. Thats it. If a pressure campaign can somehow get 4 of 53 republicans that is a million times better then focusing on 47 Dems.
