I’m reading No Death, No Fear by Thich Nhat Hanh, and the section on impermanence has my wheels turning.
He talks about hate being impermanent and recommends meditating on the distant future (300 years from now) to help with evaporating hate.
I agree to an extent, but….

Some people’s hate goes beyond themselves. They want to build worlds and futures where the object of their hate and their progeny continue to feel ill effects.
Cultivating hate that persists and is passed down is the goal.
