When people talk about video games being art, they always use dramatic, cinematic games as examples. I wanna have someone declare video games a form of art using Gubble for PS1.

idk, i haven't played it - this feels like the video-game equivalent of Graggle Simpson, but something in my gut tells me this game probably actually does exist.
😐
The way most games come out is often as a big melting pot of smaller creative works that alone would uncontroversially qualify as art - the music, story, character designs etc. It’s just tough, because the way they come together for most games isn’t very “artsy”. (1/13)
Or cf the way deliciously crunchy discussions about gear combinations and speedrun strats in rpgs never really makes it into discussions of how ff7 is art

"FUCK IT, WE'RE PLAYING GUBBLE!"
Tbh when I play any game I’m always admiring hand made assets or details that the dev put in!!!
It takes forever for me to beat a game bc I’m always just wandering around going “ooooooooh! aaaaaaah!”
I remember being really high and taking in the breathtaking sights of some ninja game (I forget the name)
Track down an iso, had a friend play it since I'm a keeper of strange ps1 games. I bought a physical copy after that
