I don’t know why, at a time when Trump and Musk are hitting serious roadblocks in their efforts at regime consolidation, some of you remain committed to fantasies about losing.

From my perch here in Canada it seems understandable. Donald Trump basically has to create 1932 conditions for a durable alignment against his politics to stick (which he might do!) otherwise you’re just stuck having this existential fight every four years indefinitely.
Why volunteer to be 50/50 ruled by the biggest and most craven and most venal idiots in the democratic world? People get divorced for good reasons even if divorce is expensive
Secession is extraordinarily unlikely, but if there were a referendum on this where people could just vote to peacefully secede, the appeal of secession would probably be very broad, just because as you say, secession would offer the opportunity to get out of the struggle that Americans are in.
The Trump/Musk project is a symptom of the hostility of Red America against Blue America, and the feelings are mutual. Even if this project is defeated, the underlying hostilities will likely remain. All that said, it is worth noting that liberals have won almost every fight in the US.
At each point, there has been a backlash that liberals have eventually overcome. There is no reason to think this time is any different. With polls showing that DEI is more popular than Trump and DOGE, the current reactionary backlash in the US may be the weakest reactionary backlash ever.
