i accepted a job with the CA gvt as a recently-terminated Fed, intending to live near family in Oakland and commute to Sac 2x per week. No matter who talks about it everyone loses. There are almost no trans women in competitive sports and it is largely an issue focused on by allies more than actual trans women. But if laws get passed suddenly you have issues with invasive inspections and genetic testing.

Sports kinda matters for kids since they need exercise and laws could restrict school gym classes and programs for kids who need to stay healthy. So you don't want to hurt kid's ability to do that but the whole thing seems like we play into the lies when the numbers are so low in competitive sports

And because it has become an issue it is a foot in the door for other restrictions that impact way more people, like Rubio's order to ban trans athletes from entering the US that may end up not allowing any trans people to get visas
