What people don't realize about the phrase "draining the swamp" is that it refers to eliminating the established government employees. It is ridding the existing knowledge and expertise which the projecting Trumpers consider (unlike themselves) to be corrupt. The former swamp becomes a desert.
Now I realize, draining the swamp meant of anyone actually good!
Someone who stands up for the right thing & speaks out on the wrong thing is an obstacle to him, an enemy, soon to be labeled a criminal, & needs to be gone.
