The Trump administration won’t enforce one of the country’s strongest anti-bribery and corruption laws for at least the next six months, a radical departure that could devastate the international fight against corruption.

I feel like this levels the playing field for US businesses. So many foreign governments and companies think the "bribe" is just part of doing business. There are some cultures that thrive in this space.
Bribing Trump is perfectly legal (see SCOTUS decision re: immunity), so why shouldn't we be allowed to return the favor? New slogan: "It's the Looting Stupid."
He just opened the door for American companies to be on the hook to provide mandatory bribes to every person on every level of every foreign government.
He is a rapist, felon, and grifter.
....of course he is going to support corruption, how else is he going to bankrupt the USA. Looking forward to a stronger Canada $
So let me get this straight... It's the President and not the Judiciary that enforces laws that the United States Congress has passed? How is this not currently a dictatorship?
The good news is there's a 5 year statute of limitations so any new bribery during Trump's term could be prosecuted after. Assuming we still have a functioning democracy in 4 years.
SHOCKING, the Grifter-In-Thief, convicted of 34 felonies, a man who openly celebrated his decades of criminal tax evasion, who routinely broke all laws regarding mixing personal business & gov't business, is firing all gov't oversight investigators in time to declare his administration is for sale!
Now Trump is flaunting his criminally corrupt actions and aspirations. Can't blame him. Every time he does something criminal, immoral or unethical, his popularity goes up!
Until there are negative consequences for his vile behavior, our nation, our reputation/image is tarnished. Are we civilized?
Also thinking that those laws provide a way for a US businessperson to say "Yeah, I can't give you a gratuity even if you're in a different country because our books are audited and my government will nail me to a cross if they find out" when someone puts the touch on them for a bribe.
He's signaling to other leaders that the Whitehouse is open for business. Last time they cashed in with the Saudis on the way out—Jared K got $2 billion for his business. I guess this time they're not waiting or even pretending to have ethics.
