Is there any data out there on which models were transporting the people who die? One analysis would point to the causes of fatal car crashes and a different one would point to the efficacy of safety features to avoid becoming the dead person.

The article states that a Hyundai model has an even higher crash rate, but that’s buried way down in the story. My quick read didn’t allow my brain to pick out whether that’s fatal crashes, or just overall crashes. No thought is given to the cause of the crashes, simply the car model.

That last part is questionable at best. The wheels can (and do) fall off the cars on the regular. The rear doors are difficult to impossible to open in event of an emergency. The brakes are underspec’d for the weight of the car.

One simply cannot appreciate the acceleration till you’ve driven any EV. My 2012 Chevy Volt will out do almost any gas car out there from a standing start. They’re amazing.
