It's funny to me that these people really don't know a thing about the government or how it works at all. Many government workers are highly educated or have a very specific skill set. I guess they'll all find out when shit completely stops working.

My experience is people work for the government when they could work private sector but they like the opportunity to serve or seek a higher calling than profits.

Someone doesn’t understand how highly educated a lot of government employees are & how hard it is to even get a job in the government. It often takes years even w/a Masters. Someone who can’t “hack it” in the private sector sure isn’t getting a government job unless it’s a very low grade w/low pay.

And typically, federal employees could be earning more working in the public sector but choose to stay out of loyalty. So these employees are very desirable and we won't easily find them again.

Joined after 15 years in public CPA firms. IMO Gov benefits are not the draw people think they are. Consistently cut over decades to make the job even less desirable. This administration accelerated that.

I took an almost 50% paycut to join. Now this BS. Take your poison pill Amerrrka.

My husband got federal benefits in 1983. He never changed jobs to go into the private sector because the health insurance was too good. He retired with a federal pension

I was in private sector in IT and worked as a contractor with Fed employees (CMS). The ones I worked with were on the ball and knew their stuff. All were college grads and 2 had masters degrees. Ignore that idiot.
