Definitely noticed better engagement. I reckon the biggest reason people are leaving X isn’t so much the light touch moderation as the algorithm promoting the wrong things.
I think also the elimination of how blocks work in Twitter was a major bridge too far for many folks.
I blocked plenty of folks who went of their way to doxx me. Previously I’d report them, but after the Elon takeover….I’d always get a “no TOS violations occures” kind of reply. Seriously?
Doxxing of other users is something which shouldn't be allowed in the name of free speech (not least because much of the time the purpose is to inhibit free expression). I'm pretty sure it's still against the X rules, but maybe they relaxed them somewhat?
I suppose doxxing is gonna happen on any platform. But this and spreading/participating in hate and harassment are my biggest factors for blocking someone.
X changed the game in that regard.
I also take measure to limit my exposure to being doxxed as well.
As a random person who mostly just replies to stuff and is in no way notable, it's nice to actually sometimes have people who are not bots like or even reply to your posts!
