Here is one of my fave Little Guys, from a display of ancient Egyptian artifacts which were shown at the Royal British Columbia Museum a few years back - this wee hedgehog. I didn't know Egyptians HAD hedgehogs, even. 😁
We have a small Egyptian pot, likely used to hold kohl, a cosmetic applied to the eyes. It’s in the shape of a hedgehog or possibly a frog - no one can agree!
Huh! My first thought was something with great big ears, but those COULD be eyes ... wonder if the creator had a little toooo much blue lotus that day? 😆
If you need more little guys in your life, our collection of 1970s handmade children’s toys from Mexico, donated by Hanni Sager, Ayako Ellen Anderson, and Creative Spirit Art Centre, is a must (peep the little chicken made from dish sponges!!!)
