Time to stop non-medical directors and board members taking huge six-figure salaries. Time to review supply chain deals, looking at best value, not biggest brown envelope. The wastage in the NHS is costing taxpayers billions of £'s. It has to stop... just look at the mess we were in during Covid.

The only good reason to trash NHSE and rebuild is that the new DHSC can make much better decisions about how to improve the NHS. This matters far more than the mechanism or process of change. It isn't about politics at all...

Though the political rationale is disturbingly far from the need to replace a failing organisation with one that works. Size is not the issue, good decision making is.
