I am reminded of the newspaper article some years back about the hardships yacht owners on the St. Croix were facing when it could cost 50 cents a mile to run their boats.
Every time I see one of these I think of the amount of gas it must use. When there was a gas shortage and rationing in the late 70’s I had a VW Beetle.
I see this all of the time living in TN. (Not to mention the boats, ATVs etc) I’m doing ok but don’t have or need any of that. I will admit that sometimes I ask myself, “Am I doing something wrong. How do they afford all of that crap?”
how out of touch are those people you are referring to? oh and lots of people with trucks and houses like that are complaining because they spend every last penny they get on those things and one wrong move and they are bankrupt.
😂 so much truth here. My dad rents our childhood home out and his tenant - keeps the garage at 90. He complains about the price of food but will keep the garage hot to have a warm car to drive to work.
During the gas crunch in the 70's, everybody downsized their vehicles.
Nowadays they buy huge trucks that get 3 mpg and complain that they can't afford the cost of fuel to get back and forth to work. LOL!
My maga family bitched all year but bought 3 new vehicles and used one for the teenager a Harley and a bunch of heavy equipment backhoe and stuff but soda is expensive
It boils my blood. I have MAGA family that complained about the grocery cost while driving a new Yukon and getting Starbucks for themselves and kids everyday on the way to expensive kids select club sports. Seriously!
I'm in Florida and I've seen these idjits go through a whole tank of gas just to go 4x4 mudding. But they & their equally low IQ mates really are concerned about the price of eggs... sure. Then again these can be both a date meeting event & a family reunion, just saying...🤪 https://youtu.be/72gHM5WctYo?si=x18l-1W3BjimQxHT
You have captured a photo from Texas I see! What is missing is the fumes coming from the tailpipe because they generally leave them running: buying groceries, kids’ sports practice, contractor for an hour-long quote or stopping by a job site, business meeting, to stand in line to vote, etc. ⛽️🥚
I get the meme and I don't even drive a big car but I can also understand the middle class feeling of getting steadily less well off due to inflation and wage stagnation. Our family used to pay more than the minimum payments on our mortgage and have enough to save as well. Not now.
Prezactly. This could be a photo of my co-workers. They love to complain about the price of groceries while driving their new truck and pulling their boat to the new lake house they just bought. They all voted for the Fascist.
People live in their own media circles. The decisions that they make, make sense to them. Their media circle has made them afraid of non-right-wing news. They can see the truth but they ignore it outright believing it's all lies. It's our job to break that misplaced trust.
When their poor decisions ultimately effect the voters who voted for them. We should not be making fun of them for hurting us. We need to be using that to break the misplaced trust in their propaganda.
We need to be waking people up from their delusions.
Trumpers are the epitome of fragile masculinity. they will do anything to make themselves masculine at the expense of everyone and anyone around them, without a single thought to the affordability of their own subservience. lets all remember how they reacted to the idea of electric stoves.
where i live having all electric stoves is a terrible idea. hearing we are going to get 6+ft of snow in a week and a half, and that happens over 24-48 hrs.

You don't have to be nice or kind. But if we want to win, we need to be constructive about how we interact and how we message.
We need to be waking people up from their delusions.
Target generalized dissatisfaction at the voters.
Glorify your wins, Utilize your losses.
I’d love to try your eggs.
Respectfully,
