For years, I have postulated that the Tall Man in the Phantasm films is really a rogue Time Lord who creates his dwarf-zombie minions using Master’s Tissue Compression Eliminator.
It *looks* like Dr Who enters the public domain in 2058 and Mary Poppins in 2060 (based on some basic searches I did) so it won’t be for another 36 years that you can write and *publish* “Mary Poppins: Time Lord” without permission.
The definition sure can be argued, but that depends on the definition of "published" - hence my use of "traditionally". 🤗
AO3 won a Hugo Award after all, which - one could say - seems to imply that they do consider fanfics to be "published" works, not just "freely distributed online". 🤔
I don't think that's a hot take at all. I've been hearing people say it since high school. I graduated in '07 if you're curious. I think most people who are familiar with both of these properties subscribe to this idea.

Maybe not published in the "traditional" sense... 🤔
Correct, Fanfiction is generally considered to be “distributed (freely) online” rather than *published* as far and explicit terminology is concerned.

This is where she got her name, Yondu being a previous reincarnation of her.
This explains so much!
