There is a real opportunity here for Canada to make local bike tourism a Thing. Looking at you specifically, southern Ontario. All we need is a bit more effort from municipalities on connecting safe routes, some better signage, and an ad campaign

One silver lining of the next few years is that thousands of Canadians who decide to do more travel close to home are going to gain an appreciation for other regions they might not otherwise have. It becomes much easier to stay committed to holding this improbable country together.
