@edyong209.bsky.social is constantly proving himself an ally to the long COVID community and the broader disability community. This is solidarity, this is care.

People who didn’t go to art school and who don’t know people who did really think it’s a place where faculty decide if students get to become professional artists or not, and no what it is, meaning school.

Concordia student union sends Concordia a cease and desist letter, accusing the university of restraining freedom of speech regarding Palestine 👏

An essential explainer of UPC corruption in Albertan. Albertans should care, this is our money they are stealing, our public services they are hollowing out. #AbPoli

The online ads I’m getting for the Joyce Wieland retrospective at the MMFA don’t even mention her name. This is how one of Canada’s most influential female artists gets promoted. It’s like a stab in the heart each time I see the ad. Why are there no great women artists, indeed.

This is really well put. How pathetic to define yourself as ‘not that’ when there there are so many nuances to play with.

The sidewalks around my sublet in little Italy still haven’t been plowed, not even on St. Laurent. Big snowfalls are an accessibility nightmare. I have no idea what people with low mobility are expected to do while the city sits on it’s hands. #Montreal

It’s weird being in Montreal as there are a million cool things going on but we are rehearsing every day and then doing tech and admin stuff for the show around (long AF) rehearsals. It’s a *very* different work vibe than having a gallery show. Of course fibro means it’s hard for me to do anything.

How did me and @ydesranleau.bsky.social end up making a play, seeing as we are visual artists who make camera-based and gallery performances? Well, a really cool theatre that we often go to invited us to do something. In #Montréal? Maybe check us out. lachapelle.org/en/schedule/...

As someone who has spent my life making art & music & organizing events; the enshitification of FB hits so hard. It was a great way to get people out to your art event for 15 years, then gradually started sucking & is now totally broken. Now I have no idea how to get the word out about our play.

It’s as confusing as it is pathetic that people are not only going along with this, but helping them access secure systems.

The federal government has released its mandate review for CBC/Radio-Canada, the first the public broadcaster has received since 1991. Proposals includes statutory per capita funding and limitations on/elimination of ads and subscription charges www.canada.ca/en/canadian-... #cdnnews

There are no safety nets in Canada.

Of you are in or near Montreal, interested in experimental theatre, autofiction, camp, and the idea of complex chronic illness as alterity; perhaps you’d like to see me and @ydesranleau.bsky.social ‘s new stage work For Everyone Stuck Chasing the Clock- March 3,4,6,7 lachapelle.org/en/schedule/...
