It's a reasonable concern, but if they were operating on pure impulse, they wouldn't be waiting for a ground invasion or changing their minds about allowing in aid (after considerable pressure from their allies).

If such people didn't exist, civilians wouldn't have been told to evacuate N. Gaza before the air raids. RU is neither giving that type of notice nor providing a time for safe passage in Ukraine. If you want to see what indifference looks like, look to Syria.

To S. Gaza which is decidedly more safe than N. Gaza even if there are anecdotal examples of that not being the case. It's really not difficult to discern the difference between a place like Syria, or Ukraine, and Gaza. When a country ceases to care about civilian casualties, it's obvious.

You seem to have not responded to the article this person's comment included, in which they point out that the IDF bombed the roads to evacuate, and also bombed civilians outside of their stated evacuation zone. They don't get credit for warnings that are meaningless.

To be fair, the same can be said for almost every armed conflict. Very few civilian populations want to to go to war (unless a populist shitbag lies to them and works them into a frenzy)

Generally, “populist shitbags” rise by telling the people what they want to hear. They don’t try to convince the people to go to war, they tell the people that the war they already want will be quick and easy.
