I think the real problem is there won't be a coherent list for a while bc the order is intentionally so vague. A competent attorney could argue for or against the inclusion of a ton of programs. (Not that it makes chatgpt the right approach, just that it adds to the confusion)

to be fair, I believe OP did not present it as a list of functions stopped by EOs, but rather, as list of programs funded by federal grants and loans, and therefore potentially under the purview of the EO.

Things are bad enough out here without outrage farming with genAI. I'm sure a lot of things on that list are actually being impacted. What I'm not sure of now is how many aren't and how many are that chatgpt left off. That's the problem with using a predictive text generator for a search engine.

So important rn to be cautious. Social media has trained us to want attention and follows, even if we aren't the right person to be speaking on something. Even without an algo rewarding engagement, those habits can be hard to break.

And despite what OP says, people aren't more mad at the use of genAI than of the EOs. People are mad at catastrophizing. That list has barely been up and we're already seeing contradictions. More people should get familiar with what a screenshot from ChatGPT looks like. It was pretty obvious from the first post if you have any familiarity with it, so knowing what it looks like or writes like will prevent people from falling for it.
