Jomon artifact holiday post 2024! While there weren't any jingle bells around during the Jomon period, there were bell-shaped clay objects like these from the Oyu site in Akita prefecture. They date back to the Late Jomon (~4000 yrs ago) with ~190 recovered from the site 🏺 #Jomon #Japan #archaeology
