We had a whole carton of eggs at home, but Safeway had eggs this morning AND I had a digital coupon to get them for $2.85 so now I know what it feels like to win the lottery. Also have a lot of eggs
as I see it, the sequence of events is some Democrat starts holding daily pressers about the Trump Egg Shortage, Trump orders farmers to stop killing the infected chickens, and then together we each get to learn our susceptibility to avian influenza
The even dumber thing is that this wouldn't even yield the desired result. For chickens, the fatality rate of avian influenza is something like 98%. Survivors are often persistent carriers who can infect other birds.
Chickens are culled because they'll die anyway, and it reduces transmission.
Some people in the local facebook farm group say it’s all a hoax, it’s because “they want us to live in fear”, and that you don’t have to cull sick chickens if you don’t test. :/
Did anyone ask why Biden killed the chickens ? Maybe to stop the spread of bird flu that’s now jumped to cows . The Trump administration isn’t going to kill a sick cow their going to sell us it’s raw milk
Eggs. What about the eggs? They’re up 64% since last week, in our local store. You promised lower pricing on eggs, remember? Oh, bird flu affected pricing, you say? I wouldn’t know, because you shut down health information for the country by shuttering the NIH information.
Did you ask about their testing? Because I also know of some farmers who don't test for PFAS b/c there is no way to recover from that horror. The vast majority of farmers would I suspect but I would ask in any case.
This is a small family-owned second generation farm. There are family farm properties in the Willamette Valley which have never seen the use of modern chemicals but I don’t know if this is one of them.
None of us is free of chemical load; I just try to minimize adding thereto. :-)
I am unsure whether the use of chemicals is related to the avian bird flu -- I think not because it hasn't been mentioned even once. I am also unsure what Oregon's testing requirements are of farm-raised food products --
Maine's are not insignificant and I appreciate it. I buy all manner of food stuffs, from small farmers and producers with confidence b/c of it. If I were to buy eggs from the fabulous farmer's markets I will ask if they test until the passes.
The eggs might have bird flu but the health care protectors are not allowed to tell you cause Trump is not allowing any govt agency to discuss anything 🤔

canadian producers all stopped shipping to usa
Just need RFK Jr.'s brainworm to explain that avian flu is no big deal, he arm wrestled 35 brown bears at once while battling it in 1989

Oh wait, it's exactly like they don't remember. Viruses don't care if you don't think they're real, part eleventy billion.
