"Listen pal, you're going to abuse viewership venues the old fashioned way or you're not going to do it at all - by metiuculously applying for frontpage all the time."
whats funny if you track people who got front page slots (aka legal embedding) they basically show no growth from it in their future streams. No one really pays attention to the front page.
While this is a nice reporting feature I can only see it being weaponized. Especially by larger streamers to eliminate competition.
Goth has been lashing out at so many people and even targeted StreamerHouse once they had a higher CCV one day
Mass reporting has no bearing on whether someone is banned or not. For something like this it has to be pretty obvious it’s the streamer themselves doing the tampering
I hope they are going to actually look into this somehow to prevent misuse.
There are people who will follow bot someone & then inflate their views as an attack on a streamer. So if someone was to do that maliciously and then mass report the streamer for view botting, that could harm the streamer
They should better bring the feature back, where viewers can use some channelpoints to promote their streamer to the front page. So more people will see other streams, too, instead of showing only the same big guys.
Most small streamers do better and should get rewarded.
Great, a whole new way for people to maliciously mass report someone they are jelaous of, and twitch will probably ban on the spot, no questions asked, as they always do.
Id be happy about this if I didnt know for a fact they rely entirely on bots for moderation.
