We have 30 days (and counting) to make comments on the passport changes. The Department of State is trying to figure out how to enforce Trump's draconian anti-trans EO and we have a chance to flood the system with dissent. Be polite, remain anonymous, use a VPN. (More instructions below)
Comments
• (If you're cis) Trans people have every right to travel and to non-discriminatory identifying documents as I do.
• This change would endanger American citizens traveling abroad.
• This is hyperbureaucratic horseshit.
• You can play some median-voter-ass angle and be like "Why is this what we're doing when [the economy / veterans / etc]"
• There is already court precedent on this.
• Get the government off of people's bodies and out of their self-expression.
