Looks like a longer winter break for this librarian - tested positive for the first time. I'm feeling mega anxious about it - I have an anxiety disorder anyway. Anyone else with anxiety go through this? How did you manage your anxiety specifically?

Ah, that's rubbish. When I had it, I felt a bit feverish for the first day or two, then generally weak for the next few. I just stayed in and took it easy until I felt better again. It wasn't too bad and you may also have only mild symptoms. Try not to panic π
Yep, it's the panicking part that's doing me in right now. Trying to do my breathing routines and remembering everything will be ok, but the wild part of Anxiety Brain likes to tell me scary things. Hoping my journey is similar to yours!
I'm sorry to hear this, but I too have anxiety and managed mine OK when I had COVID back in August 2022. Rest as much as you humanly can and stay hydrated of course. Treat symptoms and don't rush back into things when you start to feel better. Find something good to occupy your time - show or book!
Thank you! I think it's just the spiraling anxiety of everything that can go wrong that's making my heart race no matter what I do. I have a few high risk factors too so they don't help either. Glad to know you made it to the other side ok!
I do totally get it!! I have risk factors tooβ¦ find something warm and snuggly and get some tea! Hope it passes quickly, but donβt be afraid to ask for help if you need it too!!
