This is a discouraging start that bears stark resemblance to the 2002-04 era of capitulation, where Democrats had my vote ... not a dollar, phone call, door knock or anything else.

Dems appear close to surrendering to Trump/GOP on the Laken Riley Act. Dem aides tell me they're particularly rankled with how Sens John Fetterman and Ruben Gallego rushed to endorse the whole bill. That undercut the potential to amend it later.
