We should not underestimate how the Republican strategy of fucking up the country to prove that government does not work has worked.

Biden could have done more to deal with all kinds of stuff, but GOP wanted to deny him victories. Just as it did the same to Obama.

at the time, public policy was doing a heap of good including lots of money flowing to people. The Republicans ended much of that.
Plus inflation came afterwards if I remember correctly.
