Trump honest to God believes he's more popular than Reagan? Than Eisenhower?

Trump: "I have the highest poll numbers of any Republican for the last 100 years. We're in the high 70s in many polls, in the real polls."

That's nonsense. Today's CBS poll finds 40% of Americans strongly disapprove of him; 11% somewhat disapprove; 19% somewhat approve; only 31% strongly approve.

Of course he doesn't believe it. Instead, he counts on his followers not caring to check. If his followers hear someone say he's wrong, they dismiss them as simply "hating Trump". If we can't break this dynamic, we've lost.
