Tesla recalls over 376,000 vehicles due to a power steering defect.

AZ AG Kris Mayes: This is a coup by Trump against our Constitution, because they are violating not only the separation of powers but also the court orders We have federal judges saying to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, “Stop this now,” and yet we believe they are violating those orders.

The reply email inbox for this “what did you do last week” email is [email protected], so, you know, definitely don’t send them any unrelated messages that would interfere with their ability to carry out Elon’s dumbass bullshit

It's weird how everyone in the world knows a Nazi salute when we see it, with the notable exception of journalists and their editors.

“Among the multitude of depravities & war crimes committed by Putin’s army has been the abduction of some 20,000 Ukrainian children…Why hasn’t the US put their release at the top of the list of its negotiating demands?” nypost.com/2025/02/20/o...

We are seeing the greatest mass movement form in American history.

CSPAN Caller from West Virginia: I’m a diabetic and I’m on Medicare. When Biden was in there, my insulin was $6 for a 28 day supply. I just went to CVS, it went back up to $80…

Federal workers launch a new site to share inside information about DOGE

WOW. Something's happening here 👇

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

So much easier to make deals when you have no morals, principles or ethics and are eager to sell out your own country for personal gain.

Now why do you think it is that DOJ dismissed charges against SpaceX WITH prejudice but Emil Bove plans to hold charges over Eric Adams' head for almost four more years? www.nytimes.com/2025/02/20/u...

“Why does the world’s richest man, now serving as the de facto president of the United States, care about a single judicial election in a state that is home to less than 2% of the U.S. population?...the answer can be summed up in the form of his biggest fear: accountability.” New from Ben Wikler

I agree this is important. State and local economies will suffer and these electeds will face tough decisions and angry citizens. people already upset over homeless, overcrowded animal shelters, potholes, etc. all will get worse

“With a perfect view into government and government-adjacent activity, I suspect we’d find hundreds of lifetimes worth of imprisonable crime, just over the past month.”

Mini Ted Cruz wants his turn with the chainsaw!!!!

I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

you could screen Idiocracy every single day in this WH and they would still experience it as a tribute concert

“Trump is wrong; the world must say so. He’s taking US down a disastrous path…favouring Putin’s gangster state over democracies of free Europe. He’s standing alongside murder & tyranny against democracy & liberty. His is a historic inversion of America’s destiny” www.independent.co.uk/voices/edito...

"When reporters called this out, the DOGE team made a fascinating choice. Instead of fixing their error, they actually removed the correct document from their website and replaced it with the old, incorrect one. They are now deliberately posting false information to support the narrative."

If you have an R rep, call 'em up and ask them why they hell they aren't speaking out like Balderson. Call 'em now. Tell 'em to stand up for you against Trump and Musk. Ask 'em if they're cowards. Tell 'em to step up like Balderson, or step down. reps.fyi

This is progress. If enough GOP members admit it’s unconstitutional, others who are afraid of Trump could get some courage. Constituents need to keep the pressure on.

Agreed to unanimous consent 4 times to advance Patels nomination and missed multiple votes this week 👇👇👇👇

It’s disgraceful that Elon Musk has terminated a critical FDNY grant aimed at studying diseases in the brave firefighters who faced the horrors of 9/11. DOGE’s shameful claim that this research is ‘non-essential’ is an affront to every hero who risked their life that day.

State governments should cut off all state and local cooperation with the FBI, and they should do it immediately. No law requires it, the Constitution fully empowers you to not even return their calls. But there is no legitimate purpose now in treating them as an acceptable partner for anything.

Rob Schmitt: "I don't think you actually care about money, do you?" Elon: "If I steal some Social Security numbers, I can finally buy some nice things." (If Elon doesn't care about money, somebody needs to tell the Delaware Chancery Court - would be news!)

The National Park Service fired many of its park rangers as part of a reduction in the federal work force. Some rangers decided it was worth the risk to speak out online about the cuts and share their love of the Park Service. “It’s scary, but it was the right thing to do.”

New: DOGE's spending has been secret. No longer. My colleagues have uncovered it. www.propublica.org/article/doge...

Who needs fancy gadgets when you have an old tyre? Korbessa’s found the perfect plaything—and she’s not letting go! After some enthusiastic rolling around, she’s even managed to stand up with it still wrapped around her middle; a tyre fashionista! sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans

Narrator voice: “It is indeed.”

Nothing abt what DOGE claims it's doing, or even what most suspect they're doing, requires anything like the current access they now have to critical data and nat sec computer systems across the federal govenrment. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/doge-...

We have to end congestion pricing so you don’t have to see such horrors.

These people hate the things that make New York distinctive and great, which makes sense because they also hate the things that make America distinctive and great

Same boat.

Apparently it does in MAGA world and for all its voters.

calling what trump is doing in ukraine appeasement is excessively kind to trump and grotesquely unfair to chamberlain et al. for all his faults, chamberlain wasnt rooting for hitler.

This is amazing, inspiring, and worthy of forwarding. Plz do.

There are two people in Congress-the chairs of the Senate & House Appropriations Committees-who have enormous power over the illegal impoundment of funds appropriated by Congress, which is sowing chaos across the US. They need to be relentlessly contacted at their offices, in person and by phone. 1/

Instead we all have a very nasty life. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/19/u...

Just now picking up my daughter’s Claudia’s Corgi, Gracie, from her spaying procedure from Friendship Animal Hospital in northwest DC. It turns out they are doing something amazing for people victimized by the insane government purges 👉

NEW: The director of data science and engineering for what is now known as the US DOGE Service has resigned. "If DOGE truly was concerned with efficiency, they wouldn’t have fired experts in procurement," she writes, "who prevent waste up front." This is by @makenakelly.bsky.social

There's no world in which this is workable, much less advisable.

🔥🔥🔥 Former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe was arrested for civil disobedience after speaking against a MAGA display that the city council of Huntington Beach agreed to put up at the public library…..that’s what’s up….every word👇

“Not wavering” under the pressure of the White House actually is an achievement and one that’s worth praising. It’d be nice if other media outlets cared about journalism enough to stand alongside them.
