That shouldn't matter, as the ride's capacity should be unchanged.

Theoretically the only thing that should affect standby wait times is how many LLs get issued per hour compared to the number of standby guests

No idea how much this effects wait times but world does have about 2 more minutes worth of ride time with the temple scene. If they’re not running additional boats to make up for it this could account for at least some difference in capacity since world would be getting less guest through and hour

I don’t think LL caused the line problem. I rode JC in summer 2021 before Lightning Lane was implemented, and the line was glacial. It’s a slow loading ride, and it’s popular. And because people like it AND they know the line is slow, it makes sense for choose LL.

Interesting. It's theoretical capacity isn't shabby at all, so that surprises me. Again, at Disneyland, it's a pretty reliable 5 - 15 minute wait most days, and when it *is* crowded, the line moves quickly. Like, pretty continuously moving forward. Maybe it was a bad day or a lot of ECVs?

Jungle Cruise had a long line since the paper FP era. It’s probably a difficult ride to implement a skip-the-line system due to the large vehicles. I think this ride probably has a greater difference between theoretical and actual hourly capacity for the same reason.

JC got a refurb and new movie around the time G+ debuted. That was probably a shot of popularity that should’ve been temporary, but when initial blogs and sites started recommending JC as a top priority, it likely created even more demand that never went down.

It’s probably also just generally more popular in MK than DL. Because it’s a joke-based ride, it’s less re-rideable to a good chunk of people. DL is a local park, and how many of them are dying to here the same corny jokes every time?

Jungle Cruise has been such a long wait time since we moved here 4 years ago and in that four years since being passholders we've only ever ridden it one time (also our only time). We can't figure out why it's such a high demand ride.

Perhaps it's because it's a 9 min "sit and vibe" ride with lots to look around at for kids... but Pirates is 8.5 AND inside.. Looking at the app today JC is four times the wait of Pirates. This is a good day for MK too as 7 Dwarfs is only 45.

Also - the JC standby line is long, packed, tightly looped, and outside. It's covered... but again - pirates offers a better queue. It's confusing from a convenience standpoint.

This could be why it's LL demand. Rough queue combined with the feedback loop we've noticed in the parks. Standby rope-drop runs to rides that end up long, this makes the wait go up fast, LL people grab those, they run out, perpetuates the demand, park strategy sites report on this, rinse repeat.
