And as @himself.bsky.social and @abenewman.bsky.social point out in their book and elsewhere, the negative effects will not be limited only to those technologies directly involved in the weaponization. This is potentially toxic to all US-identified businesses.

"casually" is the key word here. As @abenewman.bsky.social and I say - www.nytimes.com/2025/02/17/o... - the Trump administration seems to assume there is no cost or risk to weaponizing infrastructure for short term advantage.
