OK friends, can someone please tell me how to say in an email when I'm free so people actually understand me?? I say I'm free apart from 2-3pm, they send me an invite for 2pm. I say I'm free 9-11am or 12-5pm they ask to meet at 11am. I give up!

I’ve started pointing them to my campus calendar (Google, accessible to colleagues here) or to a link from my fantastical (calendar app) account. They can see my availability and make requests accordingly. Of course there are people who will still ask anyway…
Yeah I do the former for internal one-on-one but this often happens when trying to arrange meetings with externals and/or when my team have looked at our availablity first and then are offering times we can all do. Will look into fantastical, thanks!
Google also has an option for sharing an appointment link, but it’s am forced to use multiple calendars for different parts of my work, and fantastical is helping by integrating them. It’s working so far.
Have you tried something like Calendly? It cuts out all the too-ing and fro-ing and results in efficient scheduling. I've been using it for 3.5 years now and I love it!

I can only echo others - Calendly is really useful and Outlook now has a similar function.
