Genuinely thanks for that reminder! I was talking about that movie with a friend the other day and we considered watching it but also didn’t remember what the plot was supposed to be… Now I’ll suggest that we don’t watch it.

Admittedly I usually still make it out to all these MCU movies even as I like them less or less but this one was always gonna be iffy when they included Sabra and the official BDS statement just sealed it.

I’ve sort of slowly started to watch less and less MCU because 1: there’s so much of it, 2: the quality slipping.
But a friend and I were talking about watching this like I said, sort of because “why not?”. But I think we’ll choose something else now…

I try not to be conspiracy brained but having Sam, a black man, take up the Cap mantle in this movie while also saddling it with an Israeli "hero" feels like an intentional fumble. The worst people on earth are gonna get real racist about this
