Yeah see I like the exploration aspect such more than the battles. Finding cool places and items, splunking deep into caves and beating up the mafia of the generation, etc.

if its anything that resembles competitive breeding in pokemon then i'm also probably not gonna be hugely interested.

the min-max-y competitive portion of the pokemon fandom is also unfortunately the loudest and so gamefreak (and other monstery games) keep catering to them and it kinda blows lmao

I mean, there's not really a "competetive" DQM scene at all, and it's very fun to experiment and breed your own favorites - I liked using a lot of dragons but you can go a bunch of different directions with it!

its crazy because youd think after going 3d it would be EASIER to have every pokemon walking with you but it seems recent games have been kind of spotty with it
it was so cool walking around with my typloshion around, it was very cute
