Just goes to show how corrupt local state can be. It's why people started doing their own medical transport companies. I get doctors do a lot but so do EMT's and firefighters. Like prepping the people so they stay alive while getting to the hospital and they get paid far less.
Anything state ran gets paid so little because our country and states doesn't fund it enough. We'd rather pay billions to be a state of the art military country. But not education or healthy.
This is batshit insane. I sit on my ass paying for peoples cars to be fixed and I make more and I don't live in a high cost of living area like LA. They deserve more than I do.
22 AN HOUR?! For an EMT?! That’s insane these people are some of the most important in our country, why are we giving them a less than living wage salary? You can barely live off that here in Colorado, much less California.
Too many people making far more than they should for what they do vs people busting their asses off daily for little to nothing. Corporate may reward them with a pizza party or company logo shirt/cup though 💀
i've never felt so fucking deflated man. we gave this EMT a free meal bc he had to run here on feet bc he was waiting 2 hours for a patient to get admitted the hospital or smth. i'm so heartbroken!!!
