It's like the idiotic, archaic Electoral College system we have down here, which can enable the candidate who loses the popular vote to become the President.
We had a chance federally to adopt a mixed member proportional system and Liberals killed it. There will never be a merger. All three parties exist for a reason. Fight for electoral reform. I can't keep having this conversation 🤦🏻♂️🤣
You're welcome. There is more power in individuals having a choice rather than not having a choice. There are fundamental differences between the Liberals, NDP, and the Greens. The solution is an electoral system which allows every vote to count.
It's all self interest and self preservation over what's best for the Province.
NDP are squealing with joy that they are still the opposition. Greens have their 2 seats of irrelevance. Libs can't find a likable enough leader to save their lives.
The Greens as well. They have to unite in one of those two ways,. if only for one election, install proportionate representation and then they can go back to their separate ways.
They did that in 2015 at the federal level... The Liberals walked away from the deal. This goes to the core of the problem, Liberals running away from progress once elected.
It isn’t only those voters -45% voter turnout and a liberal candidate who didn’t even win her own seat because she is so unpopular. The Liberal leader won’t even be able to sit in the legislature. These are issues that contributed to the PC win.

57% = 45 seats
Our system is broken.
The parliamentary system is archaic.
We need proportional representation - first past the post does no one any good.
1) The electorate needs to show up and vote
2) Mixed Member Proportional Representation needs to be adopted.
The Left has to stop splitting itself into three. That, and find a leader people will get behind because Bonnie and Merit aren't it.

Better do it nationally this go around to make sure
If people can't take the time to get out and vote then I don't want to hear them complain.
It took me 5 minutes
The side with less than 50% of the votes gets 75% of the seats.
