I also make my own soap flakes from grated Marseille soap then add a tsp bicarb when I put it in the drum of the machine.
Words to the wise I’m sure but the amount of actual soap in solid soap vs liquid is huge. Liquid soaps are mostly water and need a plastic bottle. Solid soap just needs a sheet of paper.
