I think an option to have a transparent text box would be great.
If you polish it a bit, get some light SEO going and maybe add watermark to share when you share with an easy button to get some virality build in you could get some traffic even.
Yep, that's the goal - "add text to image" is the keyword although pretty hard to rank for.
