Just won the auction for pal.to for $1K Couldn't pass this up, would be a perfect short link for Pallyy. Funny it also has a DR or 12 with 100+ back links (not that it matters).

colordrop.io rebuild done! now that it's re-built in nuxt it's going to be super easy to add more features, ads etc will be interesting to see the traffic after a day or so

Just acquired colordrop.io for $5K USD. - 10 years old - 110K unique visitors/mo (mostly non-organic) - 59 DR + 3.7K back links Re-build and focus on increasing ad revenue, or redirect to ColorMagic?

colorwheel.co just popped it's head on to the first page for "color wheel" (600K+ monthly searches). can't see it there anymore, but to even get on there is interesting. will update more once i've got more data

Revived rgbhexcode.com back what it looked like in 2013, with just html, js and css. Even re-built the color picker created in 2007 because it's pretty nice to use. Also it has decent back links from 2015 (one is from word press), wonder if they still help.

Just won the auction for colorwheel.co for ~$400. Not going to be a easy one to rank, "color wheel" has 600K+ monthly US searches (1.1M globally). My plan: - build a color wheel - wait 5 years - put ads if it grows

The color palette generator I acquired (colormagic.app) crossed 2.2M views in last 30d! Just removed the paywall, added pages, added tons of internal linking, optimized titles and descriptions etc.

Won the auction for jan.to but no idea what to do with it. Any ideas? Change my name to Jan?

Re-built the OG snake game from the Nokia 3310. Single HTML file. 290 lines of code. Built with @v0.dev in a few hours. snakega.me

- just moved to a town that has a dvd shop - now i'm building stuff in pure js/html/css what's my next move

For those who can't code, or want to learn, would you like me to publish a free, simple tutorial about how you can build a simple webpage (like timb.com) in 10 minutes? Would just show how to: - build a html page - push to github - deploy it on render - connect your domain

Forgot how nice building things with pure html/css/js is. No build steps, no need to upgrade packages, super fast, 4x 100's on google page speed etc etc. Built timb.com this morning which took ~10 mins from start to being deployed on a custom domain.

Just launched textoverphoto.com. Does one thing: adds text to photos. Simple to use. No login required, 100% free.

just bought timb.com 😍

1M palettes generated on ColorMagic in 47 days since acquiring & re-building!

It's a little hard to believe. Fourteen years ago today, I launched Buffer from my apartment in Birmingham, in the UK. Today the business generates $1.65 million per month, serves 59,000 customers, and enables fulfilling work for 72 people. Read my reflections on the journey: joel.is/fourteen/

Have had a decent offer on ColorMagic that I'm seriously considering. If you're interested in acquiring it, send me an offer. In the last 45 days it's had 2.4 million pageviews, mostly from USA. It's also generated almost 1 million palettes, so the users are very active.
