The Stegosaurus lived in the Jurassic (155-150mya), whereas the T-Rex lived in the late Cretaceous (83.6-66mya).

Homo sapiens (us) first appeared in the fossil record some 300,000 years ago, making the T-Rex closer to us in the timeline than they are to the Stegosaurus!
