I agree with you Mark, there was a lot of good info here. Even if one doesn’t accept this DOGE narrative, there are a lot of people who do—perhaps because they admire Musk. The comments on safety and worker protections are important as well. And the fact that this didn’t come from government.

I likes this episode despite disagreeing with some of its premises, but I think it would also be worthwhile to have on someone more skeptical of the more extreme claims of the AI world. There is definitional morass that is worth exploring about what these systems will really do.

Really enjoyed the conversation. Was particularly interested to hear his response to Andreessen's self-described polarizing experience of Biden's AI regulatory posture. But his answer wasn't particularly helpful. I remain confused as to what accounts for the huge divide.

Would be good if you could cover why U think AGI is coming in a future episode. You did not show why in this1 or how you got to that view other than buying the hype from those who profit from that belief. Your guest used “reasoning technology”, but reasoning is exactly one of things AI hasn’t shown.
