So much of "Abundance" is about failures of government in California specifically. So I was pretty damn interested to hear what @gavinnewsom.bsky.social thought of it, and how he'd answer some of those critiques.

Just started the book, btw, and it’s great so far!
He explains, in depth, many situations and offers solutions to never ending policy policy. He’s very objective and that’s why biased liberals have a hard time accepting - that they can be stubbornly wrong about things.
Here’s the thing. Many people don’t know history, policy or policy like they think and/or would like to claim. He’s trying different tactics. In the end, the usual candidates usually aren’t those who finish the line.
Their “ends” vs “means” conversation was great; unfortunately, it’ll democrats have a harder time uniting besides social media and protests - it takes more.
We have one and it’s clearly very unpopular. It’s running but half finished, over budget, and long past the completion date. It’s inconvenient and too limited in scope. Nicknamed the Fail
Bottom line: it needs to suit its location
They spent all that money to build something that was never going to work while not addressing the real cause
