Also, never feel bad if you can only donate a "small" amount, because there is no such thing as a small amount in fundraising. It all accumulates.

A brief word about disaster relief/support:
Instead of donating to the Red Cross as a default, seek out reputable local orgs for whichever area is being affected. They are often more tapped into on-the-ground needs and mobilize quicker.
Don't forget Matching Gifts if your job offers them.
