I've been rewatching some older nerd shows and a fascinating thing is when a character gets annoying, and then dies later that season. It's an interesting tightrope to walk - like, how much of a jerk is too much?

Kindle Lock In coming: You have until February 26 to download your Kindle content. After that, Amazon is removing the "download and transfer" option. Oh, and saving your entire library locally is tedious because you have to download each item individually.

This. When i hear my students talk about the workload of webtoon i bristle because it had always been the norm in webcomics to just dedicate a day or two and all was find. Hustle and grind culture applied to comics kills the ppl working in it every time

As long as I've had a Kindle (2009 or so?) I've always downloaded books to my laptop and imported into Calibre. About a year ago the Kindle laptop app stopped allowing this and I started buying my books from Kobo and haven't looked back. Can't trust these people not to take back the things you buy!
