The juxtaposition between the expertly crafted 2-D animation clips and the janky 3-D of Girls Band Cry clip at the end is cinema. Hope that show wins something.

Got a few nods as best show *and* best designs! I genuinely think that the 3D work in Girls Band Cry is situationally a big plus - it's connected to the rhythm of the show which is the best thing about it, and it completely ignores the norms of CG anime which is... good? Because those are very stale

It has technical issues and baffling artistic choices at times (there's demented gaps in photorealism between the models and weirdly detailed fur sometimes, for example) but on the whole that jank gives it unique personality that fits the show

Gankutsuou mentioned! I love the addition of the non-contemporary award. Dungeon Meshi #03 was the highlight of the adaptation for me (so far), so I'm glad to see it getting some flowers. Looks like I need to add Uma Musume: Pretty Derby – Beginning of a New Era to my watchlist.
