If you pretend seed oils are uniquely bad, you don’t worry as much about LDL cholesterol. If you do that, it makes it easier to ignore the obvious health, environmental, and moral benefits of eating a primarily plant based diet. The end goal is them not feeling bad about their harmful choices.
The beef tallow thing just feels like the knock on effect of "it makes it incrementally harder for vegetarians to get lunch" is intentional. Like sure, vegetarians shouldn't be going to shake and steak, but should anybody?
literallyyyyy. what my fast food was fried in is sooooo far down the list of things I care about, it makes me feel crazy to see how many people apparently had this as A Thing On Their Mind this much. imagine having so little going on that you care so much about beef tallow
