P.S. Banning The One Ring hurt all the other decks more than Energy. You went too light on it and it will still be over represented. But I guess we have to keep selling MH3, right?

With power creep, any card can come back! I get it w 4 mana cards like JTMS, BBE and Splinter Twin. But ramp + the most efficient card draw spell in Modern? I did not see that coming.

The One Ring had to go. Faithless Looting and Mox Opal should be interesting. With power creep maybe they aren't as problematic as they were before like JTMS or Bloodbraid Elf.

I don't get the Jegantha banning in modern. And the rest of the bans for modern seem very lack luster and too late just like when JTMS and Bloodbraid elf was released from their shackles.

If their data is to be believed, it was in 40% of Modern decks. While not OP, it's a solid 5/5 for 5 creature that acts as the 8th card in your starting hand. Small card advantage that makes it too tempting to give up double-pip spells, making for a less ideal format.

I disagree.

The unbans this go-around are the other half of a game-winning instant combo (that now has free Counterspell options to protect it in the format) and one of the best card/filtering spells ever printed.

Jegantha got hit for mainly being free in a ton of decks.
