Do it! I skated what’s open this morning and it’s in pretty good shape (needs flooding cause it’s getting used a lot). Will probably do the entire length next weekend. Can’t handle the cold cold.

Climate collapse is a lot of big, scary things but it's also the slowwww normalizing of misery. The canal did not open, or barely opened, a few years in a row and that news was met with "Well, climate change made this the new normal. Adapt or die, Ottawa".

Having the canal open has been an incredible stress reliever for me. Didn't realize how much I missed it until going for that first skate! Hopefully it'll stay open for awhile!
