If NATO has already “crossed all red lines” and nothing at all has happened, there shouldn’t be any reason to not just start removing the Russian air force from existence with F-35s.

Interesting proposition, but while it may feel like inaction invites further testing of boundaries, the measured approach NATO has taken is working so far, without plunging the world into an uncontrollable conflict. Although, not as fast as we would like. "why not escalate further" works both ways.
In no new news, Russian government mouthpieces making big noise about war with NATO while doing nothing but stripping most of their troops from the borders of all neighboring NATO countries.
